The Stage One Theatre Group is an ambitious Amateur Dramatic Group based in Paphos, Cyprus, with a home in a small theatre in Emba. Despite its amateur status, the group strives for professional standards of excellence. Primarily consisting of ex-pats, the group gathers, performs publicly around four times a year, and enjoys the camaraderie of its steadily growing membership, which exceeds 200.

Known for its quality and diverse productions, including comedy, drama, musicals, and pantomimes, the Stage One Theatre Group has earned a reputation in Cyprus. Beyond the performances, the group fosters a lively and active social club that is cherished by its members.

The journey of the group dates back to 1985 when it was initially founded by Freda Worsnop. The first performance took place in someone's garden, and subsequent venues included an art gallery and a school gymnasium, with a caravan serving as a makeshift changing area. In 1987, the group acquired its current venue, Emba Theatre, and officially became 'Stage One.' The theater has undergone significant improvements over the years, boasting excellent lighting and sound consoles, a carpeted floor, re-upholstered seating, and the capacity to accommodate an audience of 230.

K Cineplex, established in 1999 with the launch of Cyprus' first Multiplex Cinema in Limassol, has expanded its brand with four additional multi-screen entertainment complexes. The strategic development of these multiplex facilities, including K Cineplex in Larnaca (2001), K Cineplex Nicosia (2002), K Cineplex The Mall of Cyprus (2007), and K Cineplex Kings Avenue Mall Paphos (2013), has revitalized film attendance and increased cinema patronage across Cyprus.

The K Cineplex venues boast cutting-edge screen and sound technology, offering a total of 28 screens and seating for 5,300 cinema patrons. The cinemas are designed for luxury and viewing comfort, providing a differentiated and superior experience for movie enthusiasts. In 2014, K Cineplex completed its digital deployment, ensuring that all 28 auditoriums are equipped with state-of-the-art digital technology. K Cineplex stands as a premier destination for discerning movie lovers.

Technopolis 20 is a cultural space with the goal of becoming a hub for cultural production and gatherings, supporting the local artistic community and catering to diverse audiences. As an inclusive cultural venue, it aims to embrace various art forms, including theatre, dance, music, visual arts, cinema, and literature. The venue is dedicated to promoting both classical and contemporary art, fostering a creative and artistic culture not only in Paphos but beyond.

Since its establishment in September 2014, Technopolis 20 has served as an arts company hosting a wide range of events, collaborating with local and international artists, and partnering with significant artistic organizations and institutions. The venue is envisioned as an open and accessible cultural space, contributing to the development and enrichment of the cultural scene in the city.
