Value Tire & Fitment Group is an automotive service company based in the Western Cape. Our company was founded by a man who shares a passion for the world of cars, and especially classic cars from the 60s, 70s and 80s. After working in advertising and marketing for over 20 years, he decided to follow his passion and purchased the company then known as Speedy Tire & Exhaust, located in the center of Cape Town.
Over the past 10 years, we have successfully expanded both our market presence and our team, united by a common passion for the world of cars and machines with wheels. This passion is the root of everything we do. We love cars, motorcycles and everything that moves on wheels.

Moira Ross of Palm Tire Service at 10 Cannon Street, Maitland is an amazing woman at the helm of her family's tire business. Despite being an unusual woman in this industry, she not only holds her own against her male counterparts, but is also a true professional in this field. Her connection to the world of tires began at a very early age, and since then she has made an incredible journey in the industry. Palm Tire Service celebrated its 60th anniversary last year, and Moire is proud to continue building on the family legacy.
Moira is the youngest of four children and has always been close to the business of her father, Neville Ross, who founded Palm Tire Service in 1946 after his return from the World War. From working in lighting and electrical store Edel Art to working in the fashion industry in Namibia, Moira returned to South Africa and began working for Palm Tire Service in 1980.
Her entry into the tire business was accidental, but it turned out to be fateful. Starting out with no knowledge of the field, she quickly became an expert in it. In 1995, when her father passed away, Moira took over the management of the business. Today her brother Basil runs the Palm Tire Service branch in George and her nephew Howard runs the Strand branch successfully.
Moira is dedicated to helping women take care of their cars, especially their tires. She encourages women to bring their cars to have their tires checked and ensure safe driving. Many women's cars, she notes, often serve as 'mom taxis' and therefore it is important to ensure safety for all passengers, including children. Palm Tire Service provides wheel balancing, wheel alignment, and offers free replacement of two or more tires purchased from them.
It's important to highlight that tires play a key role in road safety and Moira is passionate about encouraging drivers to keep their tires healthy. She points out that slick tires can be responsible for up to 25% of road accidents, and that road grip is highly dependent on the condition of the tires. Palm Tire Service offers a wide range of tires from the world's leading brands, as well as high-quality local tires that meet all quality and safety standards.
The Palm Tire Service store on Cannon Street is also known for its unique name, which comes from the giant palm tree that was located on the premises. This symbolic logo has been incorporated into the design of fridge magnets and license stickers and also reflects her father's passion for horses, as many years ago Cannon Road was the main road between two major racecourses in Milnerton

Goodhope Tires began its history in the 1980s as the Goodhope Service Station located on Prince George Drive in Retreat, Cape Town. We provided a variety of services including fueling, mechanical service and auto parts sales. In addition, we performed engine repairs and maintenance, including puncture repair, tire fitting, wheel balancing and wheel alignment.
The popularity of our services and the high quality of our work led to an expansion of the business, and in the late 1980s we opened another branch in Wynberg. Originally an over-the-counter tire store, we soon transformed it into a full-service tire center. This period was also a time of rebranding and we renamed ourselves Goodhope Tires.
Our ever-increasing popularity and recognition of the quality of our products and services has led to the opening of new branches in Woodstock and Goodwood. We actively used the latest technologies and modern equipment, while strictly observing high standards of quality and safety.
Since then, Goodhope Tires has continued to expand rapidly and today our network includes 14 branches, as well as a wholesale warehouse for efficient distribution of products throughout the Western Cape.

Our company, formerly known as ContiPartner and FIT&GO, has established itself as a leading brand in tire retailing in Europe and Asia since 2006, providing outstanding service and quality products.

From humble beginnings in a residential area of suburban Johannesburg, South Africa, that's where the story of Tiger Wheel & Tire began. Founded over 50 years ago, the company has grown into a respected brand offering outstanding equipment and vehicle service that many rely on today.
When local entrepreneur and original founder Jimmy Joannou returned from Canada in 1967, he decided to start a new business using his skills in recycling rims into hand-crafted wheels. His new interest quickly turned a profit, and he and his friend and business partner Dennis Cohen opened Tiger Speed Den, an accessories store.
As the business progressed over the years, Tiger Speed Den moved to larger premises on Mint Road in Fordsburg, combining manufacturing with retail and spray painting services.
Less than 10 years later, in 1972, South African racing driver Eddie Kazan purchased the company for R14,000 and became its head, renaming it Tiger Wheel & Tyre, as it is known today. Sadly, Eddie Kazan passed away in 2016, but his legacy and values live on in the brand that was so near and dear to his heart.

Waleed Baker was previously part of the Parkers Pitstop team and his passion for creating the perfect auto repair center, as well as his entrepreneurial spirit, led to the founding of Pitstop Auto Center in 1992.
Waleed Baker's vision for the ultimate auto repair center began with the opening of his first branch in Woodstock. This branch is still Pitstop's head office and has become an icon for anyone traveling through the city center along the famous Albert Road. In 1996, Parkers was sold to Pitstop, and in 1999, Tire Mart, a major supplier of quality tire brands, merged with Pitstop to create a highly efficient and convenient one-stop shop. Under Baker's leadership, Pitstop has expanded to 16 branches across the Western Cape.
